How do I print my CV correctly?

Print your CV, or how to do it right

A CV or curriculum vitae is nothing less than a resume whose job is to present all our skills, attributes and characteristics to encourage an employer to hire us. The most important thing is, of course, resume wording, which should contain all the necessary information: personal data, education, experience, skills and additional characteristics that will speak in our favor.

The content of the resume is the most important, but we should not forget that in addition to the content itself, the appearance of the finished document is equally important. Many people, when writing their resumes, have no idea what they should look like to be perceived by future employers or recruiters as professionals. If you are interested in this topic, and you wonder how a typed CV should look, be sure to read this article!

Before we start typing, it’s a good idea to look carefully at the design of your CV to make it look professional. First think about a suitable photograph. Ideally, it should be colourful and of medium size. Also take care of the appearance of the card itself. There are lots of free and interesting templates on the internet to help you create a good-looking CV. If you have skills with graphics programs, you can prepare your resume yourself. In such a situation, however, remember to make it consistent and have one specific concept. When it comes to the information that should be included in a professionally prepared CV, focus on the details. Recruiters very often have up to hundreds of different resumes to check, so the more accurate information you put in, the more you can get the job.

How do I print a CV?

But let’s get to the basic question: how to print a CV. If you want it to look professional, it is advisable to print it in colour. All of the graphic layout of the document and the photo itself will display perfectly and catch the eye. If your CV is more than one page, forget about double-sided printing! Each part should be printed on a separate sheet of paper to make it easier for the recruiter to review your CV. You don’t have to fit on just one page when creating a CV. You don’t have to exaggerate the other. A 2-page or 3-page CV is best. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule, but remember that the way you compose your CV should be considered in terms of the industry you are applying for. When printing your resume, use quality consumables that will allow you to produce a professional document.
